Released from jail, Tom, a smart and courageous guy, who is shock when he found his family kicked off from the farm and from the whole country because of the foreclosure. The poor family forced to leave to California but the great depression which kicked this country makes their suffering get more, there, they find many families who holds the same dream and seeks to live a good life. Tom realizes later that California in this status will be a hard choice to achieve their dream.
